Come, Holy Spirit, Shake Us

by Bill Pasch — August 24, 2007

Bill Pasch wrote this hymn, set to the same tune as "O Day of Rest and Gladness," directing our prayers and praise to the oft-neglected third person of the Holy Trinity.

Bill Pasch wrote this hymn set to the familiar tune "Ellacombe," also called "Ave Maria, Klarer und Lichter Morgenstern" (which most of us will know by the text "O Day of Rest and Gladness"), directing our prayers and praise to the oft-neglected third person of the Holy Trinity.

Come, Holy Spirit, Shake Us

Pasch, a recently retired university English professor, now pursues his lifelong passion for church music, including composition. Currently organist/choir director at Emmanuel Lutheran Church in southwest Atlanta, he lives in Griffin, GA, where his spouse, Rev. Katie Pasch, is pastor of St. John Lutheran Church.
